Keep the original instructions
Record the requested item, the current value and the approved replacement. A request to change a price is not permission to rewrite ingredient or dietary claims. When instructions are unclear, preserve the original wording and ask the customer to confirm the business facts.
Use a readable preview
Check the menu on a phone as well as a larger screen. Look at category grouping, long item names, currency and opening hours. Prices should come from a typed amount rather than text that can be interpreted in several ways. Include the correct timezone with temporary schedule changes.
Approve a version, not a moving draft
Approval belongs to the content the customer actually reviewed. If another edit is made afterward, create a new preview. Keep the prior published artifact so a mistaken release can be reversed without rewriting the request history.
Turn the note into a next action.
Write down what is true today, who owns the next decision and what evidence would show the work is complete. Start small enough that the team can follow through.
