Separate the work into understandable parts
A website agreement should explain what happens at the initial build and what happens each month. Design, content preparation and launch review are different work from hosting, routine edits and support. Ask for a written list of deliverables, a defined allowance and a way to approve changes that fall outside it.
Know what a change request looks like
The useful test is ordinary: your hours change next week. Who receives the request, what information do they need, and how do you approve the result? A workable service turns your instructions into a preview and records the exact version released. You should not need to learn a page builder to change a phone number.
Keep ownership in the conversation
Your domain, approved content and merchant accounts should have an identified owner. Document who has delegated access and how that access can be removed. A monthly service is easier to trust when it also has a clear handoff process.
Turn the note into a next action.
Write down what is true today, who owns the next decision and what evidence would show the work is complete. Start small enough that the team can follow through.
